Turning sustainable production into market access
Lamain Sustainable Trade works with farmers, producer groups and local partners to strengthen sustainable agricultural value chains. Our work connects field expertise, traceability and international market access to create long-term value for producers, buyers and landscapes.

In Zimbabwe, Lamain Sustainable Trade supported smallholder tea growers in the Honde Valley region. The work focused on improving production practices, understanding local challenges, and identifying opportunities for value addition and stronger market positioning.
By working closely with local stakeholders, the project contributed to a shared vision for a more resilient and commercially stronger tea sector.

In Colombia, Lamain Sustainable Trade worked with cacao producers on the transition toward more sustainable and future-proof production systems. Field visits focused on soil health, agroforestry integration, disease prevention, shade management, post-harvest quality, and traceability.
The project delivered practical recommendations to improve farm performance, strengthen product quality, and increase readiness for international markets.

In Peru, Lamain Sustainable Trade worked with a smallholder avocado farming community of approximately 150 farmers, supporting improvements in production practices, tree management, varietal understanding, and post-harvest handling.
The work focused on practical, field-based training to strengthen farmer knowledge, improve product quality, and support more consistent production outcomes.
The initiative also helped create visibility for the farming community, contributing to increased engagement and support from local government stakeholders aimed at helping farmers maintain and strengthen their income opportunities.

Across our projects, we support resilient farming systems that combine productivity with biodiversity protection. This includes agroforestry, mixed cropping, soil improvement, regenerative farming practices, and climate-smart land management.

We help producers strengthen product quality, origin storytelling, and market positioning for international buyers. Our focus is on transparent supply chains, long-term partnerships, and turning sustainable production into commercial value.
We work through three connected pillars:

Improving production practices, product quality and farm management.

Building transparent, responsible, and market-ready supply chains.

Connecting producers with buyers, partners, and long-term commercial opportunities.
